I am the woodworker I am today in a large part to my late father, Victor Graff.
He was an accomplished carpenter and cabinet maker and he spent decades learning his craft and honing his skills. He taught me not only the skills to become a good woodworker but also the fact that it is a noble thing to work in wood.

The thing that used to bug him to no end though was my constant need to change traditional designs. He would always say, when looking at a traditional design that I felt needed some type of changing, "Can't you leave well enough alone". Well, I never could leave well enough alone and it was that desire to do things my way that has brought me this far.
With that said, Dad I thank you for all that you've done for me, for the words of encouragement, though few as they were, you taught me that working wood is a noble thing and today I can stand proud and say three things:
1) I am Victor's son
2) I am a woodworker
3) no, I can't leave well enough alone.
All the best
Gord
